　今日で令和4年度の学校が終わりました。午後、PTAの皆さんが3月で転任になる教職員にお花を届けてくださいました。

The school year 2022-23 is over today. In the afternoon, the PTA officials brought flowers to the teachers leaving school this month.

　86名の卒業生が巣立っていきました。歌などの時以外はマスクも外し、来賓もお迎えして、ほぼ完全な形で挙行しました。

　穏やかに晴れた春らしい日となっています。6年生はいよいよ明日が卒業式。今日は小学校最後の通知表をもらいました。午後、卒業式のリハーサルを行います。

It's a warm, sunny spring's day. The sixth graders will leave school tomorrow. Today they received the final school report in elementary school. We'll have the rehearsal for the graduation ceremony in the afternoon.

　来年度のクラブ活動の発足に向けて、5年生が主体的に自分たちのつくりたいクラブについて紹介のポスターを作ったので、校長室前に貼らせてほしいと頼みにきました。よくできています。

Some fifth graders came to ask me if they could put the poster they independently made for a new club activity next school year on the wall of the principal's room. The poster was excellent.

避難訓練（火災）

　今年度最後の避難訓練を行いました。今日は、地震のあと火災が発生、管理職不在の想定で行いました。児童は真剣に訓練に参加していました。

We had the last disaster drill in 2022-23, on the assumption that fires broke out after a big earthquake while administrators were out. Students attended seriously.

　6年生は、おとなりの第三寺島小学校の6年生とオンラインでつないで、英語の授業で学習した自己紹介のスピーチを交換し合いました。もうすぐ中学校で一緒になる人もいると思います。みんな、よく練習して立派なスピーチをしていました。

The sixth graders made a speech about themselves in English with the sixth-grade students of Daisan-Terajima Elementary School. Some of them will meet each other at the same junior high schools. They had practiced the speech in English classes so that they could make a good speech!

　3月から登校班での登校が始まっています。警察の方はしばらくパトロールを続けてくださるそうです。
　引継式を終え、5年生が校旗の掲揚をしてくれています。

After the ceremony of taking over the duties of the highest grades, the fifth-grade students raise the school flag.

　昨日の午後、八広1丁目の強盗事件の影響で、今日は登校の見守りを職員で行いました。向島警察署の方も、大勢が町をパトロールしてくださっています。

Because of the robbery at Yahiro 1-chome yesterday, teachers went out and watched them coming to school. Many police officers of Mukojima Police Station were also patrolling while students were coming to school.

　PTAの皆さんがもうすぐ卒業する6年生のために、最後の思い出づくりイベントを開いてくださいました。保護者の方も混じって、スポーツ鬼ごっことドッジボールを行いました。最後に景品ももらって、みんなとても楽しい時を過ごすことができました。

The PTA officials held a special event for the sixth graders, who will graduate soon, to make a good memory of school. They enjoyed 'Sports Tag' and dodgeball with some parents together. After the games, they got some gifts. Thanks to the PTA officials, they had a very good time.

　今日は今年度最後の土曜学校公開日です。図書ボランティアの皆さんの読み聞かせも今年度最終回でした。1年間、たくさんいい本を読んでいただきありがとうございました。午後には保護者会が行われます。

Today we are having the last Open Saturday School this school year. It was the last time, too, that the book-reading volunteers read books in each class. We appreciate the volunteer members reading good books to students for a year.
We'll have the parents' assembly in the afternoon.

　今日は、6年生と保護者の皆様主催の謝恩会が行われました。地域の皆様や、懐かしい先生方も駆けつけてくれました。とても心のこもった、素敵なひとときとなりました。ありがとうございました。

Today we had a Thank-you Party held by the sixth graders and their parents. The people in the town who took care of the students and ex-teachers also came to the party. It was a heartwarming party. Thank you very much!
