令和8年7月17日（金曜日）
　今日で令和8年度前期前半が終了しました。3時間目には夏休みを前に、全校集会を行いました。給食を食べて下校するとき、雷雨があり心配しましたが、みんな無事に下校できたようです。
　夏休み中も、熱中症、交通事故、水の事故などにくれぐれも気をつけて、元気に過ごしてください。

Today marks the end of the first half of the first semester of the 2026 school year. During the third period, we held a school-wide assembly before the start of the summer vacation. I was concerned when a thunderstorm occurred around dismissal time after lunch, but it appears that all of the students were able to get home safely.

令和8年7月15日（水曜日）
　関東地方の梅雨明け宣言はまだのようですが、今週に入って急激に暑くなってきました。
　5組の生徒が育てていたトマトが立派な実になりました。赤い方が「アイコ」で、黄色い方が「イエロー・アイコ」だそうです。肉厚でしたが、甘みがあっておいしくいただきました。ごちそうさまでした。

Although the end of the rainy season has not yet been officially declared in the Kanto region, the weather has become suddenly much hotter since the beginning of this week.
The tomatoes grown by the students in Class 5 have developed into wonderful fruits. The red one is called Aiko, and the yellow one is Yellow Aiko. They were pleasantly firm and fleshy, yet sweet and delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed them.

　5組は、お隣の墨田特別支援学校へ行って、生徒の皆さんとの交流会を行いました。一緒にスポーツをしたり、歌を歌ったりしました。

Class 5 students visited the neighboring Sumida Special Needs School and took part in an exchange event with the students there. They enjoyed playing sports together and singing songs together.

令和8年7月11日（土曜日）
　今日は前期の学校公開2日目です。たくさんの保護者の皆様が学校の様子を見に来てくださいました。
　1時間目は「道徳授業地区公開講座」として、各学級で道徳の授業を行いました。
　2時間目は、体育館にて「セーフティ教室」として向島警察署生活安全課少年係の方のお話をうかがいました。
　その後、3時間目には避難訓練を行い、引き続き保護者の方への引き渡し訓練を実施しました。
　「セーフティ教室」と同時に、集会室にて、開倫塾塾長の林明夫先生ご夫妻をお招きして「寺中サロン」を開催し、「情報社会におけるSNS被害を考える〜SNSによるネットトラブルや依存症から生徒を守るために〜」という講演をお聞きしました。

Today was the second day of our first-semester Open School. Many parents visited the school to observe students’ learning and school life.
During the first period, each class held a moral education lesson as part of the District Open Moral Education Class Program.
In the second period, a Safety Education Seminar was held in the gymnasium. We welcomed an officer from the Juvenile Affairs Section of the Community Safety Division of the Mukojima Police Station, who spoke to the students about safety and crime prevention.
Afterward, during the third period, we conducted an emergency evacuation drill, followed by a student-parent reunification drill.
At the same time as the Safety Education Seminar, we also held a Terachu Salon in the assembly room. We were honored to welcome Mr. Akio Hayashi, Head of Kairin Juku, and his wife as guest speakers. They delivered a lecture entitled “Understanding the Risks of SNS in the Information Society: Protecting Students from Online Troubles and Social Media Addiction.” The presentation provided valuable insights into preventing internet-related problems and promoting the safe use of social media among students.

The first semester’s School Open Days began today. As it is a weekday, the number of visitors has been relatively small. However, tomorrow will be our Saturday School Open Day, and we hope that many parents and guardians will take this opportunity to visit the school and observe their children's learning activities.

Second-grade students participated in a disaster preparedness class led by staff members from the Disaster Prevention Division of the Sumida City Office. They learned about the importance of being prepared for disasters such as earthquakes and floods in their local community, as well as appropriate evacuation procedures and other essential safety measures.

　1年生は野外体験活動で千葉県長柄町のアルビンスポーツパークに行ってきました。2日目はマザー牧場でオリエンテーリングを行いました。みんなで協力し、チームワークを育むことができた2日間でした。（2日間の様子は「校長室動画通信」保護者専用サイトでご覧になれます。）

The first-year students went to Aerbin Sports Park in Nagara Town, Chiba Prefecture, for their outdoor experiential learning program. On the second day, they took part in an orienteering activity at Mother Farm. It was a rewarding two-day experience during which the students worked together and strengthened their teamwork skills.

　今日は、1，2年生で交通安全教室を実施しました。墨田区教育委員会のご協力で、株式会社WORSALのスタントマンの皆さんをお呼びして「スケアードストレイト」方式の交通安全学習を行いました。目の前で事故の再現をしていただき、迫力満点でした。（「校長室動画通信」でご覧いただけます。）

Today, our first- and second-year students participated in a Traffic Safety Education Program. With the support of the Sumida City Board of Education, we invited professional stunt performers from WORSAL Co., Ltd. to conduct a traffic safety lesson using the Scared Straight approach. The performers reenacted traffic accidents right in front of the students, making the experience incredibly realistic and impactful. The demonstration was truly impressive and memorable.

　本日より、校舎東側の教室の窓枠交換工事が始まりました。校舎の老朽化のため、教室の窓を枠ごと交換する工事です。しばらくの間、不便になりますが、気をつけて過ごしましょう。

Due to the aging of the building, the classroom windows will be replaced together with their frames. 3年社会　S実習生

　今年度の教育実習生が、昨日、今日でこれまでの実習のまとめとしての研究授業を実施しました。社会科のS先生は3年生の歴史、国語のM先生は1年生で説明文の読解の授業を行いました。二人とも、しっかりと実習の成果を発揮することができました。3週間の実習は今週末までです。

This year’s student teachers conducted their research lessons yesterday and today as the culmination of their teaching practicum. Ms. S, who is specializing in Social Studies, taught a third-year history lesson, while Mr. M, specializing in Japanese Language, conducted a reading comprehension lesson on an expository text with first-year students. Both student teachers successfully demonstrated the skills and knowledge they have developed during their practicum. Their three-week teaching practicum will continue until the end of this week.

　今日は台風6号の接近により、登校時間が遅くなりました。11時半には、雨も弱まり、生徒たちはずぶ濡れになることなく登校することができました。これから4時間目、給食、5時間目の授業という予定です。

Due to the approach of Typhoon No. 6, the school start time was delayed today. By 11:30, the rain had eased, and the students were able to come to school without getting soaked. The schedule for the rest of the day is the fourth period, followed by school lunch, and then the fifth period.

　雲一つない快晴の中、令和8年度の運動会が行われました。日差しの強い暑い日となりましたが、生徒たちはこれまでの練習の成果を思う存分に発揮し、楽しい運動会にすることができました。

バリケードを築く

　今日は、不審者対応の避難訓練を行いました。教室では、入り口を机で封鎖しバリケードを築き避難しました。校内に不審者が侵入することはあってはならないことですが、いざというときの備えとして訓練を行いました。

Today, we conducted an emergency evacuation drill in response to a suspicious intruder. In the classroom, students blocked the entrance with desks and built a barricade as part of the evacuation procedure. While it is something that must never happen, we carried out this drill as preparation in case such a situation were to occur.

　5組の生徒が育ってていたジャガイモが収穫の時期を迎え、今日、土の中から掘り出してみました。大きなものから小ぶりなものまで、たくさんのジャガイモが収穫できました。来週、家庭科の調理実習で使う予定です。

　The students of Class Five had been growing potatoes, and now that the harvest season has arrived, they dug them up from the soil today. They were able to harvest many potatoes, ranging from large ones to smaller ones. They plan to use them in a home economics cooking class next week.

　毎日良い天気が続いています。気温も高くなり、日本全国で真夏日を観測しています。学校では、毎年恒例の朝マラソンが行われています。学年ごとに5分間の持久走に取り組んでいます。運動会も近づき、体が暑さにも慣れるといいですね。

Good weather has been continuing every day. The temperature has also been rising, and midsummer days are being recorded all across Japan. At school, the annual morning marathon is being held. 　今日は、6校時終了後、今年度1回目の避難訓練を実施しました。大きな地震を想定し、教室から校庭まで素早く避難することができました。週末にも長野県で大きな地震が発生しました。今年度も、いざというときのために、しっかりと訓練を行っていきます。

Today, after the sixth period, we conducted the first evacuation drill of the school year.
Assuming a major earthquake, students were able to evacuate quickly and safely from their classrooms to the schoolyard.
A strong earthquake also struck Nagano Prefecture over the weekend.
We will continue to carry out thorough drills throughout the year so that we are well prepared in case of an emergency.
