令和8年2月10日（火曜日）　令和6，7年度墨田区教育委員会研究協力校　研究発表会
　令和5年度に始まった第三吾嬬小学校の学校教育改革が節目の時を迎え、墨田区教育委員会の研究協力校としての研究発表会を開催し、墨田区のみならず、日本全国から240名を超える皆様がご参観に訪れました。

The school education reform at Daisan Azuma Elementary School, which began in FY2023, has reached a significant milestone. As a research partner school of the Sumida City Board of Education, we held a research presentation, welcoming more than 240 visitors not only from Sumida City but from across Japan.

　今日は、午後の時間に6年生が明日の研究発表会の準備を行いました。体育館、集会室、家庭科室の会場設営と、校長室、応接室、まなびの教室を控室にセットしてくれました。一人一人がてきぱきを準備をしてくれたおかげで、予定よりも早く準備が終了しました。明日は、200名を超えるお客さんが来校される予定です。皆さんに喜んでもらえるとよいですね。

This afternoon, the sixth graders prepared for tomorrow’s research presentation day. They set up the venues in the gymnasium, the assembly room, and the home economics room, and also arranged the principal’s office, the reception room, and 'Manabi' room as waiting areas. Thanks to each student working efficiently, the preparations were completed earlier than planned. Tomorrow, more than 200 guests are expected to visit the school. I hope they will enjoy their time with us.

　今週は、インフルエンザの影響で現在4クラスが学級閉鎖をしています。今日欠席が増えた二クラスは月曜日まで学級閉鎖になります。インフルエンザだけでなく、コロナや胃腸炎もはやっています。手洗い、うがいなど、できる予防を心がけましょう。

This week, four classes are currently closed due to the influenza outbreak. Two additional classes, which saw an increase in absences today, will also be closed until Monday. In addition to influenza, COVID-19 and gastroenteritis are also spreading. Please remember to take preventive measures such as handwashing and gargling.

今日は今年度第二回目の学力調査が実施されました。
1、2年生は国語と算数の2科目を（1年生はこれが初めての学力調査）
3、4年生は国語、算数、理科、社会の4科目、
5、6年生は4科目に英語を加えた5科目を受験しました。
リスニングの問題もあり、みんな真剣に取り組んでいました。

Today, the second academic achievement survey of the school year was conducted.
First- and second-grade students took tests in two subjects, Japanese and mathematics
(for the first graders, this was their first achievement survey).
Third- and fourth-grade students were tested in four subjects: Japanese, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Fifth- and sixth-grade students took five subjects, adding English to those four.
There were also listening comprehension questions, and all the students worked very earnestly.

　今日は、令和7年度のいじめ防止授業地域公開講座が行われました。5時間目の道徳の学習時間を公開し、その後図書室で地域公開講座を行いました。（地域公開講座の様子は「校長室動画通信」サイトでもご覧になれます。）

Today, we held the 2025-26 Anti-Bullying Education Community Open Class.
During the fifth period, we opened our moral education lesson to the public, and afterward, we hosted the community lecture in the library.

今日は昼休みに「わくわく縦割り班」がありました。
6年生を中心に班ごとにおにごっこやだるまさんが転んだなど
寒さに負けずみんな楽しく交流することができました。

Today, we had our Wakuwaku Groups activity during lunch break.
Led by the sixth graders, each group enjoyed playing games such as tag and “Daruma-san ga Koronda.”
Despite the cold weather, everyone had a great time interacting with one another.

Today, we held a rehearsal for the research presentation scheduled for February 10. The 4th, 5th, and 6th grade members of the Research Presentation Executive Committee also conducted a simulation. They were truly impressive. Super Elementary School Students! I’m very much looking forward to the day of the event.

The third graders went on a social studies field trip today to the Fire Museum at the Yotsuya Fire Station and the Sumida Local Culture Museum. They listened attentively and took notes carefully; they truly showed what responsible third graders they are.

　教室や廊下の照明がLED照明にかわりました。少ない電力で明るくなりました。階段の照明にはセンサーが付いていて、通りかかると自動的に点灯します。

The lights in the classrooms and hallways have been replaced with LED lighting. They are now brighter while using less electricity. The lights on the stairs are equipped with sensors, so they turn on automatically when someone passes by.

『持久走週間』
　今日から持久走週間が始まりました。体育委員のペースに合わせて校庭を走ります。
外は寒いですが汗の管理と水分補給を忘れずに。
“Endurance Running Week”
Endurance Running Week started today. Students run around the schoolyard, keeping pace with the Physical Education Committee members.
Although it is cold outside, please remember to manage perspiration and stay hydrated.

『1・2年生　おもちゃ大会』
体育館では2年生が生活科で作ったおもちゃを1年生に披露し一緒に遊びました。
アーチェリーや動く車など、工夫をこらした楽しいおもちゃがたくさんありました。
1年生は2年生に教えてもらいながら楽しく仲良く遊ぶことができました。

“Toy Festival (1st and 2nd Graders)”
In the gym, the second graders presented the toys they made in their Life Studies class to the first graders and played together.
There were many creative and enjoyable toys, such as archery sets and moving cars.
The first graders had a wonderful time playing cooperatively, guided kindly by the second graders.

　4年生は、墨田区立小学校連合展覧会に参加するため第四吾嬬小学校へ行ってきました。25校の小学校の子供たちがつくった素敵な作品を鑑賞してきました。

　今日は、1年生がゲストティーチャーの先生方と「世界のダンス教室」を行いました。NPO法人コモンビートのダンサーの皆さんが、タイやケニア、ブラジルの踊りや言葉を教えてくださいました。1年生は、楽しく体をゆすって踊りました。

Today, the first graders had a “World Dance Class” with guest teachers. Dancers from the NPO Common Beat taught them dances and words from Thailand, Kenya, and Brazil. The first graders joyfully swayed their bodies and danced.

Today, the 3rd and 4th graders participated in the calligraphy writing event.
They were able to stay focused and work diligently for the entire two-hour session.
The works created during the calligraphy event will be displayed at the School New Year Calligraphy Exhibition (Parent Viewing Days: January 26 to 29).

Today, we held the calligraphy writing event.
Everyone carefully and diligently wrote each character while following the model examples.
The gymnasium was very quiet, and the students’ focused attitude truly reflected the maturity of the upper grades.
The works created during the calligraphy event will be displayed at the School New Year Calligraphy Exhibition (Parent Viewing Days: January 26 to29).

　今日から、新しい年の学校生活が始まりました。とても寒い朝でしたが、子供たちは元気に登校し、2週間ぶりの友達との再会に喜んでいました。今日から5年生に新しい仲間が一人増えました。

Today marks the beginning of a new year of school life. Although it was a very cold morning, the students came to school full of energy and were delighted to reunite with their friends after two weeks. Starting today, we also welcome a new classmate to the fifth grade.

　本校の学習室「みどり」特別支援員のH.先生が、墨田区役所・職員顕彰の「奨励賞」を受賞し、墨田区役所において表彰式が行われました。H.先生の日ごろの小学校別室支援教室の運営のみならず、その計画立案や課題点の整理、教育委員会への提言などが評価されました。当日は、墨田区・山本区長より直々に表彰状を授与されました。おめでとうございます！

Ms. H., the Special Support Staff member for the Learning Room “Midori,” has received the Encouragement Award in the Sumida City Office Staff Commendation. The award ceremony was held at the Sumida City Office. Ms. H. was recognized not only for her daily efforts in managing the separate support classroom for elementary school students, but also for her contributions in planning, identifying issues, and making proposals to the Board of Education. On the day of the ceremony, she was personally presented with the certificate of commendation by Mayor Yamamoto of Sumida City. Congratulations!

今日は月に一度の避難訓練の日でした。
掃除中に地震が発生し、津波のおそれがあるという想定で
屋上に避難しました。
校長先生が、学校の海抜、最近群発している地震についてお話し、
いつくるかわからない災害に備えましょうと呼びかけました。

Today we had the monthly evacuation drill.
During cleaning time, we practiced evacuating to the rooftop under the scenario that an earthquake had occurred and there was a risk of a tsunami.
The principal spoke about the school’s elevation above sea level and the recent series of earthquakes, urging everyone to always be prepared for disasters that may strike without warning.

今日は「劇団かしの樹」のみなさんによる「演劇鑑賞教室」がありました。
影絵による「あらしのよるに」を情景たっぷりに演じていただき
全学年真剣に鑑賞していました。
体験コーナーでは代表の児童が影絵の動かし方を教えていただきました。

ヤギとオオカミの友情を描いた感動的な作品でした。第2部では、影絵がどのように作られているのかを紹介していただき、児童の代表が影絵の人形を動かして見せました。
　影絵劇団かしの樹の影絵劇は、YouTubeでも見ることができるそうです。ありがとうございました。

Today, as part of the 2025 school year’s theater appreciation program, we had the pleasure of hosting the shadow play troupe Kashinoki, who performed the shadow play “One Stormy Night.” It was a moving story depicting the friendship between a goat and a wolf.
In the second part, they introduced how shadow plays are created, and a student representative demonstrated moving the shadow puppets.

　今日は、墨田区立小学校オーケストラ鑑賞教室が墨田トリフォニーホールで行われ、5年生と6年生が参加しました。集まった大勢の児童代表として、6年生のWAさんが指揮者体験をしました。新日本フィルのオーケストラの皆さんが、WAさんの指揮でハンガリー舞曲を演奏してくれました。

Today, the Sumida Ward Elementary School Orchestra Appreciation Class was held at Sumida Triphony Hall, with fifth and sixth graders participating. Representing the large group of students gathered, sixth grader WA had the opportunity to experience conducting. Under WA’s conduct, the members of the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra performed the Hungarian Dance.

　今日は5町会合同の防災訓練が行われました。避難所の解説と、生活用の水を確保する練習を行いました。とても勉強になりました。

Today, a joint disaster drill was held by five neighborhood associations. We practiced securing water for daily use and received explanations about the evacuation shelter. It was a very informative experience.

The fifth graders went on a social studies field trip to the Ibaraki Nature Museum and the Meiji Naruhodo Factory in Moriya. The weather was very nice, but it was a day with a cold wind. They studied diligently during the visit.

校長式辞

令和7年11月29日（土曜日）　開校150周年記念式典
　開校150周年を記念して、学校、地域、墨田区をあげて、盛大にお祝いの会を催しました。当日は、180名を超える皆様にご臨席いただき、みんなでお祝いすることができました。
　朝、全児童に対して校庭で集会を行い、この日の意味について考え、一人一人にいただいた記念品の紹介をしました。そのあと、在校生代表の6年生が式典に参加。合唱団とともに式典歌と『はじまりのうた』を合唱し、厳かに式典が始まりました。校長式辞の後、参加された皆様から拍手が起こり、厳かな中にも和やかな雰囲気で式典が進みました。
　ご祝辞をいただいた後、6年生代表のYさん、Sさんが、今の気持ちを語ってくれました。大変すばらしいスピーチでした。
　式典の終了後には、先日の音楽会でも披露した合奏を行い、華やかな演奏で、お祝いのムードを盛り上げてくれました。
　これまでご準備いただいた記念事業実行委員会の皆様、本当にありがとうございました。

150th Anniversary Celebration of the School’s Founding
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of our school’s founding, we held a grand celebration involving the school, the local community, and Sumida Ward. On the day of the event, more than 180 guests attended, and we were able to celebrate together.
In the morning, we gathered all the students in the schoolyard for an assembly to reflect on the significance of the day and introduced the commemorative gifts given to each student. Afterwards, sixth-grade representatives joined the ceremony. Together with the choir, they sang the ceremonial song and “Hajimari no Uta” to solemnly begin the event. Following the principal’s address, applause filled the hall, and the ceremony proceeded in a dignified yet warm atmosphere.
After the congratulatory messages, sixth-grade representatives Y and S shared their thoughts and feelings. Their speeches were truly outstanding.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the sixth graders performed an ensemble that had also been showcased at the recent music festival, adding a festive touch and enhancing the celebratory mood with a brilliant performance.
We sincerely thank all the members of the Commemorative Project Executive Committee for their dedicated preparations.
